Michael Hardy

Michael is our lead guide. He has been a commercial guide for 12 years with over 15,000 river miles. You will meet Michael greeting guests and shuttling and coordinating trips. He guides all of our rivers and all of our jeep trail tour trips, so if you are really lucky, he’ll be your guide.

His training beyond the state requirements includes Wilderness First Aid, Swift Water I and II and over 10,000 river miles. He is qualified as a trip leader for all our trips and has been the head of our instructional guide school for four years. Additionally, he has the biggest bank of jokes this side of the Mississippi!

Klare Nava

Klare, a Texas native, is our sales director, trip consultant manager, group sales coordinator, office staff trainer and the organizer! You will probably meet Klare over the phone, or perhaps over the web and you will for sure meet her at trip check-in! She has a Bachelor Degree from the University of Wyoming. She can talk with the best of them from Texas! We love her accent!

Robert Meeker

One of our finest up and coming guides, Rob is the newest member of our high adventure team. His knowledge of the outdoors is enhanced by his B.S. degree in General Science. A youth ministry leader, Rob is dedicated to providing a fun and educational experience on all his trips.

Greg Miller

With over 15 years of guiding experience, Greg still loves guiding as much as his first season and conducts his trips with true enthusiasm. He is qualified on all trips as a trip leader. Greg loves kayaking and snowboarding and spends his winters as the owner and operator of Inferno Snowboards in Durango, Colorado.

The Finest Guides

Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Trail Tours, Inc. values higher certification in our employees. For this reason, we offer financial incentives to achieve these higher certifications and safety training. We also value return employees just as we do repeat customers (watch for specials). Returning employees also receive financial incentives.

*All or our guides clearly surpass the Colorado and Utah State requirements (Arizona has few requirements) for certifications. These include current first aid and CPR training and 50 logged river hours. Wilderness First Aid is 3 times the required first aid training. First Responder is even more advanced training than Wilderness First Aid, and EMT certification is a 6-month intensive course that qualifies one to assist in ambulance care. Swiftwater is a river rescue course.

Please feel free to request the guide of your choice when you make your reservations.
