Mild Rafting and the Narrow Gauge Railroad

Experience Durango's most popular and educational activities in one easy value package! Discover the beautiful Animas Canyon on the historical Narrow Gauge Railroad (train one way to Silverton then the coach bus on the Million Dollar Skyway back to Durango) and then follow-up the same day with fun on an Economy Lower Animas River raft or inflatable kayak trip.

Rail and Raft Same Day Itinerary

Discover the beautiful Animas Canyon on the historical Narrow Gauge Railroad and then explore the Animas River by raft for a fun filled  adventurous day!
June 15th - August 15th
7:45 AM     Meet at Mild to Wild for vehicle ride to Train Station (see confirmation for directions to our office)
8:00 AM      Board Train for Silverton
8:30 AM     Train Departs for Silverton
12:00 PM    Arrive in Silverton - get lunch on your own!
1:45 PM      Board M2W Vehicle @ Shady Lady Restaurant for Durango
3:00 PM      Return to Mild to Wild
4:00 PM      Depart for Animas River
4:10 PM      Safety Speech
4:30 PM      Begin Rafting
6:00 PM      Arrive back at Mild to Wild

Meeting Place

Our office is located at 50 Animas Dr., which is located at the north end of Main Ave. in Durango. If you are coming from the downtown area or the south end of town you want to head north on Main Ave. You will pass City Market and 32nd St., go another 6 blocks and Animas View Dr. will be on the right side of the road. We are diagonally across from the Hampton Inn. You will be able to see our building and busses from Main Ave.

If you are coming from the north, head south on highway 550 towards Durango. When you get to Durango you will pass the Iron Horse Inn on the left, continue about another 1/2 mile and you will see Animas View Dr. on the left. We are the first building once you turn onto Animas View Dr.
