Course cost is $ 775.
(March 6th-March
13th, 2010 on Arizona's Upper Salt River Canyon, and May 19th-23rd,
2010 in Durango, Colorado)
This 12-day
course is designed to familiarize you with all aspects of boating
and the majestic Salt River canyon and its environs. The main focus
will be on paddleboats although we will use two days to focus on
learning how to operate and rig oar boats.
Skills learned will include:
leadership, group dynamics, and decision-making, organizing and
rigging.
The standard course emphasizes
river-reading techniques rather than memorization of set routes.
This enables our trainees to guide on class III water anywhere,
not just on those sections previously run. Classes include instructors,
transportation, life jacket, helmets, and boating equipment.
It is highly recommended
that participants take advantage of our thermal package, which includes:
wetsuit, booties, and splash jacket. This package costs $50 for
the course.
Full payment is
due at time of enrollment
Cancellation Policy:
85% refund with 14 days notice prior to start date.
Completing guide school
does not guarantee a job with Mild to Wild.
We recommend arriving
